Each year in BC, 24 workers are killed on average as a result of motor vehicle incidents (MVIs), the leading cause of traumatic work-related deaths. Employers are responsible for ensuring the safety of workers when they drive for work. (If you are not sure of your responsibilities as an employer, see yesterday`s post.) This new Safe Driving video from WorkSafe BC highlights the financial and emotional costs of work-related MVIs.
