Experience
My journey began with completing my EMR and EMT course back in 2001, followed by achieving my OFA Level 3 certification. My background includes 5 years working as a “medic” on seismic projects, pipelines, and 5 years on a drilling rig. I truly enjoy the experience of being up north, contributing to team safety and preparedness.
With 23 years of experience teaching first aid, I have had the privilege of training individuals and teams, helping them gain confidence in emergency response. Teaching first aid is more than just a profession for me — it’s a commitment to safety, preparedness, and empowering others to make a difference in critical moments.
Chantel Jackson
Certifications
- Certified Red Cross First Aid Instructor
Experience
I’m Chantel Jackson, a certified Red Cross First Aid Instructor, passionate about teaching life-saving skills in a way that’s practical, engaging, and easy to remember. I love helping people feel confident and prepared to handle emergencies—whether at work, outdoors, or in everyday life.
My training sessions are hands-on, interactive, and tailored to real-world situations. Whether you’re a beginner or refreshing your skills, I’m here to make first aid training informative, approachable, and even a little fun.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll probably find me exploring the mountains with my family, enjoying nature walks, or staying active with sports. Living in Whistler has given me a deep appreciation for the outdoors, and I know how important it is to be prepared for anything—especially in adventure settings.
Hughe Rose
Certifications
- First Aid Instructor since 2006
- Certified Rescue Diver
Experience
My name is Hughe Rose, and I’ve been a first aid instructor since 2006. As a young adult, I witnessed a serious emergency and felt helpless at the time. That experience, combined with my Rescue Diver training and some personal emergencies, sparked my commitment to learn more about first aid. I promised myself I would never feel that unprepared again. That promise led me to advanced training and eventually to becoming a first responder with the fire department. Along the way, I discovered a passion for teaching and have dedicated my career to helping others gain the skills and confidence to act in emergencies. Teaching first aid has been one of the most rewarding parts of my life—combining my love of education with the opportunity to truly make a difference.
