What To Know Before Your Class

Before your class
Do this ahead of time
Read the BC Regional Update Content Guide. Please finish this before the day of your class.
Are you recertifying?
If you are regulated by WorkSafeBC, you must take the full course every time. This has been the rule since 1 November 2024.
Need to change your date?
We need a minimum of five business days' notice to cancel or reschedule. A $30 administrative fee applies to any rescheduled course.
On the day
What to bring and when to arrive
Bring with you
- Government issued photo ID, such as a driver's licence or passport
- Comfortable clothing, as practical exercises involve movement
- Lunch and snacks
Arrival
Arrive at 8:20 to sign in. Class starts at 8:30. Check your confirmation email for your exact times and location.
Food and drink
Bring your own lunch and snacks. At our Squamish location, complimentary tea and coffee may be available.
Blended Basic First Aid (OFA L1)
Before your class
This course has an online portion you must finish first
If the online portion is not complete, you will not be allowed into class. It takes about 4 hours and you can start and stop as many times as you need.
How the online portion works
- Red Cross emails your course link to the name and address you registered with.
- When you finish, Red Cross issues a certificate of completion.
- Bring that certificate to class, printed or as a photo on your phone.
- You must attend the in person class within six weeks of finishing online.

If you are not regulated by WorkSafeBC and your certification is still current on the day of class, you can recertify instead. Send us a copy of your current certificate and there is no online portion to complete, just the in class session.

There is a 15 minute coffee break and no lunch break. Bring snacks to get you through the morning. At our Squamish location, complimentary tea and coffee may be available.
Intermediate First Aid (OFA L2)
Before your class
This course has an online portion you must finish first

You are required to read chapters 12 to 15 inclusively in the Comprehensive Guide for First Aid & CPR.

There is no reading or online portion to complete before your class. Just come ready to take part.
